Vehicle Rates

Two types of rates are available: Seasonal and Day-Week-Month.

Seasonal 

Seasonal rates span a whole year. The year is split into consecutive blocks of days with each block of days representing one season. You can have up to 52 seasons or rate bands in one year. The rate bands can start on any date but must span an entire year. Within each season you can have 5 different rates depending on the length of hire, plus a late return charge.

You could have seasonal rates with 3 seasons. Within each season you will be able to enter five different prices for each vehicle type according to the length of hire, plus a late return charge. RezEasy will calculate the cost of a booking using this price information. If the pick-up and drop-off dates span more than one season, the prices in each season will be used to calculate the total cost.

• Example of Seasonal Rate Band with 3 seasons:
• 15 May to 14 Dec
• 15 Dec to 10 Jan
• 11 Jan to 14 May

Rate Bands:
When using seasonal rates you can specify 5 different rate bands. Each band represents a number of days and can have a different rate for each vehicle group and season. For example the rate bands could be 1-6 days, 7-13 days, 14-20 days, 21-27 days, 28+ days.

Day-Week-Month

A day-week-month rate band spans a whole year. The year is split into consecutive blocks of days with each block of days representing one band or season. You can have up to 52 seasons or rate bands in one year. The bands can start on any date but must span an entire year. A day-week-month rate has different prices according to the length of hire, plus a late return charge. Example: You could have a day-week-month rate with 3 rate bands. Within each season you will be able to enter different prices for your vehicle types. RezEasy will calculate the cost of a booking using this price information. Example of Day-Week-Month Rate Band with 3 bands:

• 15 May to 14 Dec rate per day, per week, per month
• 15 Dec to 10 Jan rate per day, per week, per month
• 11 Jan to 14 May rate per day, per week, per month

• How the Rates are Applied
• If the length of hire is less than 7 days the per day rate is applied.
• If the length of hire is from 7 to 29 days the per week and per day prices are used. Each whole week will be charged at the per week rate and any remaining days will be charged at the per day rate.
• If the length of hire is 30 days or more the per month price is used. Each whole month will be charged at the per month rate and any remaining days will be charged at one thirtieth of the per month rate rate.

Note: If the pick-up and drop-off dates span more than one rate band, the prices in each band will be used to calculate the total cost. However, the rate band for a week or month is determined by the date of the first day in that week or month.
