RezEasy - PayPal Configuration

RezEasy is configured as follows:

  • Start RezEasy then click Configure RezEasy and the Payment Gateway tab
  • Click the Edit button then select PayPal for the payment gateway
  • Enter your PayPal email address next to business
  • Enter the currency code next to currency_code (example: GBP for UK Pounds, USD for US DOllars, EUR for Euro etc.)
  • Enter a description of the purchase next to item_name

Your PayPal account is configured as follows:

  • Step One:
  • Login to your PayPal account and click profile.
  • Go to Profile->My Selling Preferences on the menu and in the next page locate "Instant Payment Notification Preferences" then click the "Update" button.
  • Click the "Choose IPN Settings" button and in the next page check the "Receive IPN message" box and enter the URL for RezEasy script. The script name is rez60std.pl for the standard version of RezEsy and rez60agent.pl for the agency version. You can test the URL by entering it into your web browser. If it is correct you will see an error message from RezEasy.
  • Save the changes

  • Step Two:
  • Go to Profile->My Selling Preferences on the menu and in the next page locate "Website Preferences" then click the "Update" button.
  • Check the "On" radio button for "Auto Return" and enter the URL in the box. This is the URL of accepted.html (You can test the URL by entering it into your web browser).

  • Locate "PayPal Account Optional" and set this to "On" if you do not want PayPal to force customers to create an account.
  • Save the changes

NOTE: PayPal do not show the output from RezEasy after payment is made. Therefore you should remove the ##REFNO## and ##DETAILS## markers and reference to "print the reservation details " from template accepted.html
